An Ambulance for Mboul-Soucka

"When Solidarity Knows No Distance

From Rome to Dakar, and then over 150 kilometers into the Senegalese hinterland: this is the long journey that brought a fully equipped ambulance to Mboul-Soucka, a small village in the Commune de Patar Sine, which can now count on a rescue vehicle for its community.

A Project Born from the Massa Territory

The initiative was born from the shared commitment of city councilor Daniele Tarantino and a network of local people and organizations from Massa who decided to join forces for a common cause. A project that started as an idea and turned into a concrete result thanks to the generosity of many people, large and small, who contributed in various ways.

This was made possible by the volunteers of the Massa Municipal Administration football team, the Ugo Pisa Fishermen's Association, the Touba Senegal Association of Massa, members of the local Senegalese community, the Panther World Guards, Don Joe with his presence, and many others who lent a hand along the way.

Our Association's Contribution

Among the organizations involved in this important international solidarity project is also our European Association of Victims of Violence, present from the very beginning alongside the other local associations to support an initiative that speaks directly to the values we believe in: concrete help for those in need, regardless of origin or borders.

One Community Helping Another

As emphasized by those who experienced the delivery of the vehicle firsthand, this ambulance does not belong to a single person, but to an entire community that chose to take care of another community, thousands of kilometers away yet close in the spirit of humanity that drove the project.

It's an experience that recalls a simple but often forgotten truth: solidarity has no political color. When helping those in need, what matters is heart, respect, and humanity. And it is precisely in initiatives like this that even a complex topic such as immigration finds a more human perspective: behind every person who leaves their homeland lies a story, a family, a deep bond with their origins — bonds that projects like this help strengthen rather than break.

One for All, All for One

Once again, the Massa territory has shown that solidarity is stronger than any geographical distance. "One for all and all for one" was not just a motto: when things are done together, they truly go further.

As the European Association of Victims of Violence, we are proud to have been part of this journey and we thank all the organizations and individuals whose contribution, large or small, made this achievement possible.
